Say hello to the world's most powerful Toyota GR Yaris, a small hot compartment that now has almost the same power as the Porsche 911 GT3.

It’s no secret that GR Yaris is a very small rocket. After all, it has the most powerful three-cylinder engine in the world, producing 268 horsepower from a Japanese-spec 1.6-liter engine. Obviously, people from Powertune Australia are not satisfied with this number. They spent several months slowly creating a distinctive GR Yaris.

Recently, Powertune’s GR Yaris was modified to output 429 horsepower (320 kilowatts) at the wheel hub. However, fuel limitations mean that it cannot produce more. This prompted the Australian tuner to install an upgraded fuel pump and a new surge tank for the car.

After completing this operation, it was able to start adjusting the engine timing and cam timing, and during the most recent dynamometer operation, a staggering 472.8 horsepower (352.6 kW) was recorded on the hub dynamometer, which means that the engine itself has more than 500 horsepower.

Considering how crazy the peak horsepower numbers are, you might think that every component in the 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine has been replaced. However, the only mechanical modification to the engine was the installation of new valve springs. This means that it retains the original blocks, rods, pistons, head gaskets, head bolts and camshafts.

The tuner has not taken the car to the tow belt in its latest form, but it is expected to drop to within 10 seconds in a quarter mile at a speed of over 130 mph (209 km/h).
